El Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) presenta los resultados trimestrales preliminares del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) por el método del ingreso y del gasto. Este permite conocer, en el corto plazo, por el lado del ingreso, la evolución del pago a los factores de la producción, así como el comportamiento del gasto final de bienes y servicios de los agentes económicos.

Durante el primer trimestre de 2024, el PIB de la economía fue de 32 070 644 millones de pesos corrientes y representó un incremento de 5.9 % a tasa anual.

En el trimestre de referencia, los principales componentes del PIB por el método del ingreso contribuyeron así: Excedente bruto de operación aportó 39.8 %; Remuneración de los asalariados, 30.1 % e Ingreso mixto bruto, 22.6 por ciento.

En el trimestre enero-marzo de 2024, los principales componentes del PIB por el método del gasto participaron de la siguiente manera: Consumo final representó 83.2 %; Importaciones de bienes y servicios, 35.8 % —se deduce del PIB—; Exportaciones de bienes y servicios, 33.5 % y Formación bruta de capital fijo, 24.1 por ciento.

Este producto se actualiza una vez que se dispone de la información estadística más reciente de las Cuentas de Bienes y Servicios 2022 versión revisada y de las encuestas, los registros administrativos y los datos primarios de 2019 a 2023. Como resultado de incorporar esta información, se identifican diferencias en los niveles de los valores y variaciones que se publicaron oportunamente. La actualización se hace con base en los «Lineamientos de cambios a la información divulgada en las publicaciones estadísticas y geográficas del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía» que se complementan con las «Normas Especiales para la Divulgación de Datos» del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI).

En la integración del Producto Interno Bruto Trimestral por el método del ingreso y por el método del gasto, en el primer trimestre de 2024, se consideraron las encuestas económicas, la captación de los registros administrativos y los datos primarios que divulga el Instituto. Se complementaron con otra información de bases de datos y registros administrativos provenientes de las Unidades del Estado y de las principales empresas del país que se recibieron oportunamente vía correo electrónico e internet.

La divisa mexicana registra una pérdida del 0.57% frente al precio de referencia del lunes cuando registró su peor desempeño en un lunes frente al dólar al retroceder 1.59% al final de la sesión.

La controvertida reforma, promovida por el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, busca, entre otras cosas, que más de 7 mil jueces, magistrados y ministros de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN) sean elegidos mediante el voto popular.

La propuesta no sólo ha llevado a millas de trabajadores judiciales a un paro de labores, sino que mantiene en vilo a los mercados y ha generado roces entre México y sus socios comerciales: Estados Unidos y Canadá.

El Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) trimestral ofrece, en el corto plazo, una visión oportuna, completa y coherente de la evolución de las actividades económicas del país.

Por componente y con series ajustadas por estacionalidad, en el periodo de referencia, el comportamiento fue el siguiente: el PIB de las actividades secundarias creció 0.3 % y el de las terciarias, 0.1 por ciento. El PIB de las actividades primarias descendió 0.2 % con respecto al trimestre anterior.

A tasa anual y con series desestacionalizadas, el PIB incrementó 1.0 % en términos reales, en el segundo trimestre de 2024. El de las actividades terciarias avanzó 1.5 % y el de las secundarias, 0.4 por ciento. El PIB de las primarias cayó 2.5 por ciento.

En el primer semestre de 2024, el PIB ascendió 1.4 % con respecto a igual periodo de 2023.

Para las actividades agropecuarias, petroleras, de energía, gas y agua, de servicios financieros y del gobierno, se incluyeron los registros administrativos provenientes de las empresas y Unidades del Estado que se recibieron oportunamente vía correo electrónico e internet, lo que permitió la generación de estadísticas con niveles altos de cobertura.
